DESCRIPTION:Chris Canas got hooked on the blues at 10\, when B.B. King’s “T
 he Thrill Is Gone” came rolling out of his uncle’s Camaro. He had already 
 started on cornet and in jazz band\, but from there he taught himself bass
 \, piano\, sax\, drums\, and harmonica before settling on guitar\, and he 
 wrote his first album at 15. Mentored by Detroit blues great Thornetta Dav
 is\, he formed the Chris Canas Band in 2003. Since then he has released si
 x albums\, written more than 150 originals\, and shared stages with Joe Bo
 namassa\, Larry McCray\, Kenny Neal\, and Lalah Hathaway. The band is a mu
 lti-time Detroit Blues Challenge winner and a 2020 International Blues Cha
 llenge finalist. At Lucille’s\, Chris and his trio\, with Derek Washington
  on bass and Marc Anthony Guillory on drums\, bring a mix of blues\, funk\
